Who are you people?!

I've been invaded by adware! Who are the fuckers who write that software?! Horrible, souless, evil bastards! That shit is killing me! I have now wasted a lot time downloading and fucking around with all these anti-spyware programs and if anyone has any good ideas about how to get rid of this shit, help me out. (It's nice how I pretend that other people read this when in reality I know no one reads but me.)

Precious crap

I was cruising around the internet, procrastinating all the things I have to do (like go to sleep) and I find someone's personal website that has a "Precious Moments" theme. Wow that stuff is lame. Kids (I think?) with weird, tear-drop-shaped heads behaving in very un-kid-like ways. And you know what else disgusts me? Those black and white pictures that have kids dressed in old-fashioned clothes kissing or standing in the rain or whatever. People think that shit is romantic? Why? Do you want kids to behave like that? I think that's a little sick. Or you want some kind of child romance? Not only do I not get it, but I think its totally bizzare-o.

I’ve been having trouble getting access to a laser printer to print out my resumes (in scientific and academic circles they are called curriculum vitaes, just to sound pretentious) and cover letters so I find this nice copy, etc. place near campus and I start going there. Before you know it, I’m best friends with the guy that works there named Matt. I told him that I would always fondly remember my time at Lazer Copy. He’s really nice and always tells me I’m a genius but I have spent an awful lot of money there just to print stuff out. It’s not even like I’m buying paper there, either, ‘cause I bought my own, nice resume paper.

So I have to go talk to my boss again to ask him what to do with all the crap in my -80 degree (C) freezer boxes. I so do not want to talk to him ever again as long as I live. I had coffee tonight with someone else who works in the lab and she told me that when his kids were born he basically had to be dragged out of lab to go to the hospital. What kind of crap is that? What kind of human being would rather be in lab than be present at the birth of his children? A man with no soul. That's the only explanation I can come up with. God I'm glad I have a soul.

No Love

No comments. No one loves me. I guess this whole blogging thing is pretty egocentric, really. No one will listen to you blabber on like this in a conversation. So I speak to no one except myself ('cause sometimes I go back and read my own entries.)

And I barely got to talk to my boyfriend tonight. He is in medical school in another state so we are doing a long-distance relationship and wow, does it suck. Anyway he is at the hospital tonight, on call, so couldn't really talk. He said he had to go see a patient with an infection of the balls but the patient only spoke Spanish. I was like, wait, even I know the Spanish word for balls - cajones, right? He reminded me that was a slang term and not really appropriate for a doctor talking to a patient. I guess my Spanish knowledge is pretty useless. I really should have taken Spanish instead of French. What a gyp. Okay, French is a great language, nothing wrong with it, but when you live in California, its just not that useful. The thing is, we don't get very many TV channels and five of them are in Spanish. I could increase my TV-watching options by, like, 20% if I could understand Spanish. Instead, my roommate and I watch the soaps and try to figure out what's going on. Often its way more exciting than what's on the other, English channels.
